According to Lonely Planet, Cappadocia is like “landing on another planet”. The topography offers awe inspiring views from the hot air balloons towering above or the opportunity to explore the under the surface in cave hotels. When passing through Turkey, we cannot pass up on the chance to see such an amazing place, take a trip in a balloon and spend the night. On a beautiful clear night, the stars will be astounding here. Neither of us have ever been in a hot air balloon and there isn’t a better way to start than with a place like this. One can only imagine the views from up there. After this we’re hoping for the unique experience of a cave hotel before heading onwards to the Black Sea coastline and into Georgia.
